The Watch DOGS (Dads of Great Students) are fathers, grandfathers, uncles and other father figures who volunteer their time at school.
Watch DOGS are positive male role models for the students, reinforcing the importance of education, acting as extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.
LWBE Watch DOGS will spend time with the students, assist the teachers and patrol the school with the following signup options:
  • 11 AM to End of School Day
The LWBE Watch D.O.G.S registration process consists of four steps:
  1. Renew or register as an LISD volunteer
Go to LISD Volunteer Services either to renew your volunteer status or register as a new volunteer.

  2. Receive volunteer approval from lwbe@my-pta.org
Once approved, you will receive an email with the subject line “Your Record Has Been Approved.” Receipt of this message indicates the LWBE PTA website recognizes you as an approved LISD Volunteer which is required so that you can select a volunteer date. It can take several days for the DPS security check to complete before this email is sent.

  3. Register your children

Beginning Friday, August 26th, tell us the names of your children and their teachers on
this google form. This step is necessary because the school does not provide us with this information.

  4. Select your day and time!

Beginning 8:00 PM on Monday, September 11th, select your Watch D.O.G.S. volunteer date and time:
         - Click "Volunteer Opportunities" tab
         - Scroll to "Watch D.O.G.S. section
         - Click on the "Click here" link for the online schedule
         - You MUST be an approved volunteer and log into the website in order to select a date. Please select only one date at this time.
         - To volunteer for a full day, select a morning shift and an afternoon shift from the same day.
