VOLUNTEERING with the Sprinting Stars

How does it work?

After registration has closed, parents will be notified of the day/time when volunteer signups will be open. Volunteers will be responsible for selecting their volunteer days and positions via the online signup form available on the PTA website.

On the day you volunteer:

Please arrive to school ready to volunteer no later than by 2:30pm. If you have signed up for ‘Setup’, you’ll need to arrive by 2:10pm.

· Approved LISD volunteers proceed directly to the back playground at LWBE.

· Touch base with a Sprinting Stars committee member to understand your role.

· Volunteers must sign in to receive credit for volunteering that day.

· You are REQUIRED to wear your LWBE Volunteer badge while volunteering.

· If for whatever reason you are unable to attend & cannot find a sub, please notify us via email at lwbe.sprint.2018@gmail.com by 12p.m. on Wednesday/run day. If you are a substitute for someone else, it is important that you indicate on the volunteer sign-in sheet that you are subbing in for that day.

· From time to time, the Sprinting Stars running club must be cancelled due to inclement weather or bad field conditions. Decisions to cancel will be made by 12:00 noon that day (Wednesday). If the program is being cancelled for the day, an email message will be sent to registered parents, therefore it is imperative we have your correct email account.
